The free trial
Every paid plan is free for 7 days through Shopify's own billing. The Free plan has no time limit.
Two honest ways to try Varn: start on the Free plan, which never expires, or pick a paid plan and take its first 7 days free.
How the trial works#
Pick a plan#
Choose Grow, Advance or Premium on the Plan and billing page, monthly or yearly.
Approve it on Shopify's page#
You are taken to Shopify's own subscription confirmation screen, which states the price and the trial. Varn cannot charge you; only Shopify can, and only after you approve it there.
7 days free#
The plan is active immediately and the first 7 days cost nothing. The Plan page shows the exact date your trial ends.
Then billing simply continues#
After 7 days the plan you picked keeps running and Shopify bills it as normal. Cancel any time during the trial and you are never billed at all.
What happens if you cancel during the trial#
You return to the Free plan. Concretely:
| Feature | On Free |
|---|---|
| Product page swatches | Keep working, unlimited color swatches |
| Style studio | Keeps working, minus the Advance-plan styling extras |
| Collection, search, quick view | Keep working |
| Photo galleries | Keep working on your first 5 products |
| Product groups | Your first group keeps rendering |
| Analytics | Stops collecting, dashboard locks |
| Custom CSS | Stops being emitted |
Nothing is deleted. Your assignments, style settings, photo maps and groups all stay exactly as you left them. Subscribe again later and everything comes straight back on.
Checking where you are#
During a trial the Plan page shows your plan as active with the line "Trial ends on \
Subscribing to a different plan#
A plan change during the trial is a plan change like any other: it goes through Shopify's confirmation screen. See Manage your plan.
If paid features stop unexpectedly#
If a storefront feature stops working and you believe you are on a paid plan, check the Plan page first.
The storefront reads your plan from a value stored on your shop, so the admin and storefront can in rare cases disagree. The Test tracking button on the Analytics page checks that specific link and repairs it if it finds a mismatch. See Analytics shows zero.
