Custom apps
Built for one store and installed only on it. The right shape when the feature is specific to how a single merchant runs, and there is no reason to put it in front of anyone else.

Brands that grow choose us
Great partnerships. Stronger solutions. Brighter tomorrows.
About us
We build on this platform every day, so an app brief does not start with research into how Shopify works. You get a team that already knows which surface a feature belongs on, what the API will and will not let it do, and what App Store review asks for before it approves anything.
Types of apps we develop
Which of these you need is usually decided by where the behaviour has to happen and who is meant to install it. We will tell you which one fits before any code is written.
Built for one store and installed only on it. The right shape when the feature is specific to how a single merchant runs, and there is no reason to put it in front of anyone else.
Listed on the Shopify App Store and installable by any merchant. Built to the review requirements from the first commit rather than retrofitted to them after a rejection.
Apps that run inside the Shopify admin itself, using App Bridge and Polaris so the interface matches the admin around it and merchants do not have to learn a second system.
Custom fields, banners, upsells and validation inside checkout and on the post-purchase page, through the extension points Shopify supports rather than through script edits.
Backend logic that changes how discounts, delivery options, payment methods and cart contents are calculated, running on Shopify infrastructure instead of a server you have to keep up.
Screens and actions added to Shopify POS so the in-person side of a business works the same way the online side does, on the same data.

Our Shopify app development services
Six services covering the whole life of an app. Most projects use two or three of them rather than all six.
A private app built for one store, solving something specific to how that business runs.
An app any merchant can install, built to the App Store requirements from the start.
Interface work for apps that have to sit inside the Shopify admin without looking bolted on.
A read of an existing app, or a second opinion before you commit to building one.
The delivery side: environments, releases and the monitoring that tells you when something broke.
Keeping a live app working while Shopify keeps moving underneath it.
Why choose us
Not a list of adjectives. Each one is something you can hold us to on the first call.
No account manager relaying messages between you and a team you never meet. The developer who scopes your app is the one who builds it, and the one who answers when you ask why something works the way it does.
A good share of app briefs turn out to be a Shopify setting, a theme change, or an app that already exists. We say so at the scoping call, before you have spent anything, because being right is worth more to us than one more project.
Public apps are written against the App Store requirements from the first commit. Billing, onboarding, uninstall and data handling are built the way review expects, so approval is a submission rather than a rewrite.
Source, setup and deployment steps are handed over and documented. Nothing about how we work is designed to keep you here: if you want to take the app to another team, everything they need goes with it.
Shopify ships a new API version every quarter and supports each one for a limited window, so an app nobody maintains eventually stops working. We plan the upgrade before the version you are on is retired, rather than after a merchant reports the breakage.
After a handover review that says plainly what state the codebase is in, what is running on deprecated APIs, and what it would cost to bring current. Including when the honest answer is that a rebuild costs less than the repair.
How we work
The same sequence whether the app is private to one store or going to the App Store. What changes is how much of step four there is.
What the app has to do
We go through the workflow the app is meant to change, who touches it, and what happens today without it. This is also where we tell you if the thing you want is already a Shopify setting.
Where it belongs on the platform
We decide which surface the feature lives on, whether it is a custom or public app, which APIs and scopes it needs, and what the data model looks like. You get this in writing before anything is built.
In reviewable pieces
Work lands in increments you can look at rather than in one delivery at the end. You see the app running on a development store while it is being built, not after.
Before it goes anywhere near a merchant
Functional testing, the install and uninstall paths, scope handling, webhook delivery and the failure cases. Public apps are checked against the App Store requirements at this point, not after a rejection.
Submission or install
Public apps are submitted with their listing, and we handle what review comes back with. Custom apps are installed on your store with the configuration documented.
While the platform keeps moving
Webhook and function activity watched, merchant issues triaged, and API version upgrades planned before the version you are on is retired.
Engagement models
Which one fits depends on whether the work has an end. A defined build has one; keeping a live app healthy does not.

Before you commit
Bring the workflow you want to change. We will tell you which surface it belongs on, what the API allows, and whether it needs an app at all.
No obligations. No spam.
If the one you have is not here, ask it on the call and you will get a straight answer.
Still have a question?
Send it over and a developer will answer it. No pitch attached.
Ask a developerA custom app is built for one store and installed only on that store. A public app is listed on the Shopify App Store and any merchant can install it. Public apps have to meet Shopify review requirements and handle billing, onboarding and uninstall for people you have never met, so they are more work for the same feature. If only one business will ever use it, a custom app is usually the right answer.
Yes. The source is handed over, along with the setup and deployment steps written down. You are not tied to us to keep the app running, and you can take it to another team without asking our permission.
We build to the App Store requirements from the start, prepare the listing and handle the submission, including whatever review comes back with. What we will not do is promise approval: that decision is Shopify's and no agency controls it.
The admin, through embedded apps built with App Bridge and Polaris. Checkout and the post-purchase page, through checkout extensions. Discount, delivery, payment and cart logic, through Shopify Functions. In-person selling, through POS extensions. Customer accounts have their own extension points too. Which one you need is decided by where the behaviour has to happen.
Shopify releases a new API version every quarter and supports each one for a limited window, so an app left alone eventually stops working. On a support retainer we track which version your app is on, plan the upgrade before the old one is retired, and migrate it. Without one, this is the thing that most often breaks an app nobody has touched in a year.
Yes, after a handover review. We read the codebase first and tell you what state it is in, what is using deprecated APIs, and what it would take to bring it current. If the honest answer is that a rebuild costs less than the repair, we will say that instead of quoting for the repair.
