What happens to my theme if I uninstall the Shopify variant app?
Nothing is left behind. Varn never edits theme files, so your theme returns to its own dropdowns and your product data stays untouched.
Can the wrong variant end up in a cart?
No. A swatch click selects the value in your theme’s own control, so your theme’s form submits the order. Varn never selects a value your theme has disabled.
Will this Shopify color swatches app slow my store down?
No. Features load only when they are needed, and swatch data arrives with the page itself, so nothing extra has to load.
Do I need to know any code to use Varn?
No. The setup guide checks your theme and fills in your real color options for you. Custom CSS is there if you want it.
Is your Shopify variant app really free forever?
Yes. Starter is $0 with no time limit, and includes unlimited swatches, auto-detect, agent readiness, and swatches on collections, search and quick view.
How do I turn on Varn in my theme?
On the Home page, click Activate on the first setup step, turn Varn on and click Save. Do this once per theme.
What does Auto-detect do?
It reads option names like Navy blue and fills in the colors it is sure about, free on every plan. Photos are handled by Set up with AI.
Does Varn work with my theme?
Varn works with any Online Store 2.0 theme. If yours is too old to run app embeds, Varn tells you.
What do the paid plans of your Shopify product options app add?
Higher limits on products with variant photos, product groups and monthly AI credits. Advance and Premium add advanced styling and click analytics. Yearly billing costs less than 9 monthly payments.
What is an AI usage credit?
One credit is one product photo the AI looks at, used only by Set up with AI. Name-based auto-detect is free. Plans include 250 (Starter) to 25,000 (Premium) credits a month.
How does the free trial work?
Every paid plan has a 7 day free trial, approved on Shopify’s own screen. Cancel within 7 days to pay nothing. Each store gets one trial.
My swatches are not showing on my store. What to do?
Varn is probably off for that theme. On the Home page, click Activate, turn the switch on and click Save.
